Donald Merrihew Obituary

ALTONA- Donald James "Jim" Merrihew, 64, of Altona passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at Albany Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.

He was born October 4, 1951 in Plattsburgh, the son of Donald and Nathalie (LaValley) Merrihew. He attended school at Beekmantown. He enjoyed riding his spyder, following NASCAR, traveling and spending time with his family. Jim was also a member of the Altona Fire Department.

He was predeceased by his parents and one brother, Wayne Merrihew.

Survivors include, his loving wife Julia; one son, Gary Peryea and his wife Melissa; three daughters, Julie Monty and her husband, Russ, Mary Ann Wood and her husband Robert and Beverly Peryea-LaBarge and her husband Chris; one brother, Brandon LaValley; five grandchildren, Jenny Wood and her companion, Matt Moore, Taylor Wood and her companion Brandon Moore, Cody Peryea, Tyler Monty, and Troy Ouellette. Jim is also survived by three great grandchildren, Kennedy Wood, Ellie Moore and Lillian Moore.
