Jerry A. Thatcher

Crown Point-Jerry Allen Thatcher, 75 of Crown Point passed away Tuesday, October 23, 2018, ending his 17 year battle with cancer.  In the final hours of his life, he was surrounded by his best friends and family; Clifford “Skip” Ross, Leo Ross, Jeff Ross, Jane Thatcher, his daughter, Debbie Rafferty and his granddaughters, Tara Adkins and Amber Taylor.

Jake was an avid sportsman who loved fishing and hunting deer and turkey with his pals and family.  He proudly wore the green and gold of the Green Bay Packers.  Above all, his greatest pleasure and source of relaxation was mowing his lawn and enjoying a “cold one” when he finished.  Jerry will be cherished always by those who loved him.  

Jerry was predeceased by his parents, Kenneth and Flora (Ross) Thatcher

Left to cherish memories of Jerry are his family; Jane, his life-long love and strength; his daughter, Debbie (Dale) Rafferty; his son, Doug (Niki) Thatcher; grandchildren, Tara (George) Adkins, Jayden, Amber (Joe) Taylor and Hunter Clark; great grandchildren, Harley, Cash, Kailynn, Hailey, Miley, Garrett, Dillon and Forest; one brother, Richard Thatcher and one sister, Linda (Scott) Riznick along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
