Leonard A. McDonald

Leonard A. McDonald, 76, of Mooers Forks, N.Y., passed away on June 25, 2019, surrounded by his loving family.
Leonard was born on Nov. 9, 1942, in Witherbee, N.Y., to Howard and Rita (Monette) McDonald. Leonard is survived by his two children, Brad McDonald, his wife Crissy of Chazy, N.Y., Breck McDonald, his wife Margaret of Altona, N.Y., three grandsons, Darren, Dillen and Andrew, one granddaughter, Brittany, the apple of his eye, his four great-grandchildren, Dominic, Carson, Emalyn and Makenzie who loved their "Old Papa" very much and will miss him dearly and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by three brothers, Gary(Sharron), Kevin(Sue) and Ronnie(Jane) McDonald, and two sisters Gloria Neverett and Joanne Gonyea.
Leonard is predeceased by his parents, and three siblings, Girard, Roger and Arthur McDonald.
After Leonard retired from the Local 1249 he enjoyed many things in life, but his favorite was spending time on the farm with his family.
There will be a private ceremony for immediate family only. Arrangements are through Ross Funeral Home in Mooers, N.Y. A celebration of his life will be held at the American Legion Post 912 in Rouses Point, N.Y., at 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 29. Family and friends are welcome.
