Linda C. Thornhill

Linda C. Thornhill, 70 of Chazy passed away Monday, April 29, 2019 at the UVM Health Network at CVPH. 

She was born February 15, 1949 in Little Falls, NY; the daughter of Leland and Shirley (Slingerland) Garlock.  She was a nurse’s aide at Little Falls Hospital. 

She was predeceased by her father and one sister, Karen.  

Left to cherish memories of Linda are, her mother, Shirley Garlock of Chazy; her children, Alvin P. Smith of Rouses Point, NY, Leland W. Smith of Ticonderoga, NY, Tracey J. Smith of Plattsburgh, NY, Michelle W. Richardson of Plattsburgh, NY, and Amanda S. Strout of Veazie, ME; five brothers, James Garlock of Chazy, NY, Kevin Garlock of Chazy, NY, Bruce Garlock and family of Herkimer, NY, Roger Garlock and family of Ellenburg, NY, Duane Garlock and family of Palatine Bridge, NY; seven sisters, Denise Forkey of Altona, NY, Nancy Smith and family of Sherburne, NY, Dawn Buley and family of Zepherhills, FL, Wendy Iacobucci and family of North Agusta, SC, Serena Van Noustrand and family of Northville, NY, Kalee Baltzel of Averil Park, NY and Anita LaPan of Uncasville, CT.  She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. 

Calling hours will be Thursday, May 2, 2019 from 12:00 noon – 1:00 p.m. at the Ross Funeral Home in Mooers.   A funeral service will follow at 1:00 at the Ross Funeral Home in Mooers.  Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery in Rouses Point.
