Marcella T. Rabideau

Marcella T. Rabideau, 89 of Mooers passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at her home. 

She was born December 3, 1928, the daughter of Herman and Flossie LaBarge.  He was a homemaker and a hard worker.  She worked many years ago at the slipper factory in Mooers.  She also volunteered at the elementary school.  She loved working in her flower bed and in her garden.  She also loved sitting on her porch, eating ice cream and watching the ball games at school with her husband, Rene. 

She was a proud member of the Mooers Fire Department Auxiliary for 55 years.  She loved all of her Auxiliary sisters.  She was also a member of the American Legion for many years.  Something that brought her much joy was spending time with her grandkids, Josh and Alyssa, and her great grandbaby, Kaidence, whome she loved very much.  She loved spending time with her family.  She will be greatly missed by everyone that knew her. 

Marcella is survived by three sons, Terry Rabideau of Mooers; Dale Rabideau of Mooers and Wayne (Gail) Rabideau of Vermont; one daughter, Lisa Rabideau of Mooers; one sister, Eileen of Altona; two grandchildren, Josh and Alyssa; her grandbaby, Kaidence, who she loved more than anything in the world; two brothers in law, Gilbert (Shirley) Rabideau, Donald (Cecile) LaPierre; four sisters in law, Norma, Clara, Theresa and Beatrice (Emile) Tetrault.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Marcella was predeceased by her loving husband of 61 years, Rene.  They are back together again.  She was also predeceased by her parents; her sister, Geraldine LaBarge; brothers in law, Hector, Alex Jr., Raymond, Phil, Gene and Donald; sisters in law, Beatrice, Irene and Cecile.

Donations may be made to Hospice of the North Country and the Mooers Fire Department Auxiliary.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Becky, Becky, Rebecca, Tammy and Katy from Hospice.  HCR-Amy Castine and Kim Faubert for taking care of Marcella; also, Sheila Arruda for always being there for Marcella and her family. 

Calling hours will be Thursday, August 23, 2018 from 4:00-7:00 at the Ross Funeral Home in Mooers.  A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Ann’s Church in Mooers Forks.
