Michael Trombly Obituary

Our beloved Michael J. “Mikey T” Trombly, 41 of Mooers tragically lost his life when he slipped and fell into the water on January 15, 2020.

He was born May 27, 1978, the son of Kevin and Carol (Stratton) Trombly.  Michael graduated from NCCS where he played soccer, track and baseball.  Michael was a kind soul and was loved by many.  He dealt with many ups and downs in his life but he could always count on the support and unconditional love of his mom, dad and sister. Michael had many accomplishments but he was proudest of earning his Class A CDL.  He loved the outdoors; he loved cutting wood and riding the Kubota with his special niece, Gabby by his side.  Gabby was his world, they loved to play “old maid” and they teased each other all the time.  He also had a nephew, Jeremy who he loved very much.  Michael was extremely close to his sister Debbie, who he affectionately referred to as “Rusty Bucket”.  Michael was very close to his grandfather, Daylord Trombly; he spent a lot of time there helping him out and having dinner together. His mom was so important to him and she was his rock and his dad was his hero.

Michael is reunited in Heaven with his maternal grandfather, Herbert Stratton, paternal grandmother, Doris Trombly, his two cousins, Jeremy Lapier and Alan “Peanut”, Uncle Dicky Trombly and his good friends, Noland Oakes and David Clark.

Left to cherish memories and remember the good times with Michael are his loving parents, Kevin and Carol Trombly of Mooers; his sister, Debbie and special brother in law, John Sansone; maternal grandma, Lucille Stratton; paternal grandpa, Daylord Trombly; one niece, Gabby; one nephew, Jeremy; several special cousins, aunts and uncles, including his favorite uncle Richard.  He is also survived by many friends including special ones, Bob G, Steve M, Shane L, Jimmy B, Laine T, Lori B, and Jen B  and his beloved lab, Bailey.

Fly high sweet angel.

A celebration of Michael’s life will be held at 2:00 on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at the V.F.W. in Champlain.  There will be no formal services because that’s not what Michael would have wanted.
