Mina S. Sorrell

MOOERS-Mina S. Sorrell, 64 of Mooers passed away Thursday, February 21, 2019 at the home of her daughter. 

She was born December 19, 1954 in Plattsburgh, the daughter of Elmer and Lorna (LaVenture) Stark.  She worked in customer service at Ames Department Store in Champlain.  She loved her grandchildren.  She also loved photos and Eeyore.

Mina was preceded in death by her parents. 

Left to cherish memories of Mina are her daughter, Crystal Aja and her companion, Mike Benneig; her son, Garfield Sorrell, Jr.; her husband, Garfield Sorrell; her step children, Gary and Marsha Sorrell, Larry and Donna Sorrell, Paula and Albert Ashline, Jimmy Sorrell, Tammy and Tony Camiera and Donna and Billy LaDuc.  She is also survived by four grandchildren, Hailey Parker, Gavin Parker, Kiarah Parker and Zander Parker as well as several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Mina’s life will be held at a later date.  Mina’s family would like to thank Hospice of the North Country and her aide, Angel Furnia for the wonderful care.  Donations in the memory of Mina Sorrell may be made to Hospice of the North Country.
