Richard C. “Dicky” Trombly, Sr., 68 of Mooers passed away November 29, 2019 at CVPH with his loving family by his side.
He was born August 25, 1951 to Daylord and Doris (Roberts) Trombly in Mooers, NY.
He married Gayle (Myatt) on January 29, 1971 and they had two children, Lisa and Richard C. “Ricky” Trombly, Jr. He was an avid pony and hobby farmer. He was well known throughout the farming community as Dick the butcher and pig roaster. He worked for several different butcher facilities around the area until he opened and ran his own business, H&R Meat Cutting with his father in law, Harry for many decades.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 48 years, Gayle; one daughter, Lisa Rivers and her husband Rick; one son, Ricky Trombly and his wife Karen; seven grandchildren, Justin (Kiana) Robert, Kylie (Brandon) Lauzon, Kalob Gabree, Ayden and Harmony Trombly, Daniel and Olivia Covey; one great- grandson; Harrison Lauzon; his father, Daylord Trombly and three siblings, Kevin (Carolyn) Trombly, Duane (Melody) Trombly, Karen Knowles; mother in law, Edna Myatt; sister in law, Shelley (Gary) Favro. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews and lifelong friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Doris; his brother, Steven; his father in law, Harry Myatt and several other cherished family members.
A celebration of Dicky’s life will be held at a later date in spring.
