William Rowland Obituary

William R. Rowland, 87 of Willsboro passed away Friday, September 14, 2018 at the Elizabethtown Community Hospital. 

He was born February 17. 1931 in Downsville, NY, the son of James and Pearl (Avery) Rowland.  He served in the Army National Guard.  He was the Director of Sheltered Workshop at the Middletown Psychiatric Center in Middletown, NY.  After retiring he moved to Willsboro to live out the rest of his days.  William enjoyed woodworking and playing golf. 

Bill was predeceased by his parents and his wife, Jean Marie who passed away in 1996. 

Left to cherish memories of Bill are his sister in law, Jane Casamento and her husband Pete.  Bill and Jean Marie raised Jane from the time she was three years old.  Also surviving are his niece, Crystal Marie Casamento Walker and her husband Chad Joseph Walker; his nephew, Casey Joseph Casemento and his wife, Lena Marie Kohlmaier Casamento; their children, Cade Heinz Casamento and Corbin Peter Casamento.  William also leaves a longtime companion, Alethea Smith.

A graveside service will be private at the Memorial Cemetery in Willsboro.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ALS Foundation.
