Andrew J. “Andy” Guay, 79 of Rouses Point passed away September 21, 2023 at his home.
He was born October 25, 1943 in Champlain, the son of Raoul and Lucille (Gamache) Guay. He was a dairy farmer and owned Andy Guay Hay and Straw hay hauling business. He worked at St. Patrick’s Church for several years as a caretaker for the cemetery. He was a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus.
He is predeceased by his parents; one grandson, Joseph Valade and his first wife, Rosa Guay.
Left to cherish memories of Andy are five sons, Jerry Valade and Joanne of Adams Center, Michael Valade and Jennie from Nashua, NH, Andy Guay and Amy Couture of Plattsburgh, Randy Guay and Danielle Gooley-Guay of Rouses Point, Lance Guay of Rouses Point; three daughters, Diana Castine and her husband Jim of Chazy, Janice Letourneau and her husband Richard of Rouses Point, Lisa Menard and her husband Dale of Rouses Point; his grandchildren, Jason Valade, Elizabeth Valade, Michael Valade, Paradise Valade and Stephen Valade, Jordan Guay, Kyler Guay, Karissa Guay, Zoeyy McNeil, Kaitlyn Guay, Abigail Guay, Michelle Anthony, Amy Castine, Jason Castine, Jessica Obrien-Moore, Connor Letourneau, Chase Letourneau, Alyssa Haase and Miranda Menard. He is further survived by his second wife, Barbara Guay.
There will be a calling hour from 11:00-12;00 Monday, October 2, 2023 at St. Mary’s Church in Champlain. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at noon.Interment will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Rouses Point. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Jane’s Fight Fund.
