Arleen L. Smith

Arleen L. Smith, 60 of Champlain passed away Thursday, March 26, 2020 at the UVM Health Network at CVPH in Plattsburgh. 

She was born September 1, 1959 in Plattsburgh, the daughter of Donald and Bernadette (LaPorte) Burdo.  She enjoyed crocheting, yard sales, playing BINGO and loved spending time with her grandchildren.  She was the longtime assistant manager at Dollar General in Rouses Point. 

Arleen was predeceased by her mother in law and father in law, Robert and Doreen Smith.

Left to cherish memories of Arleen are her parents, Donald and Bernadette Burdo of Mooers Forks; one son, Josh Smith and his companion, Dianna Breyette of Champlain; two brothers, David Burdo and his wife, Debbie and Steve Burdo and his wife, Evelyn; two sisters, Brenda Burdo and her companion, Ward and Laurie Mercaldi and her husband, Lenny; six grandchildren, Elizabeth, Ayden, Kiera, Riley, Camryn and Arianna; three sisters in law, Theresa Riel and her husband, Rick, Kimberly Young and her husband Eric and Brenda Simpson and her husband Aaron.  She is further survived by a very special aunt, Kay Ranger of Syracuse as well as several nieces and nephews.

Services are private at the Ross Funeral Home in Mooers.
