Ashley M. D. LaFountain

Ashley M.D. LaFountain, 18 of Mooers passed away suddenly Saturday, January 4, 2020. 

She was born May 30, 2001 in Plattsburgh, the daughter of Timothy and Catherine (Dupee) LaFountain.  She worked at Meadowbrook Healthcare.  She had an aspiration to become a nurse.  She was a country girl at heart.  She loved going mudding and listening to music.  She was very close with her grandma and her brother, Tim.  Ashley loved spending time with her family, especially her niece and nephew, Linzie and David.  They were her world.

Ashley was predeceased by her maternal grandfather, Joe LaValley; her paternal grandmother, Doris White; her paternal grandfather, Wilfred LaFountain; two cousins, Richard LaFountain Jr. and Bert Dupee Jr.  She is also predeceased by one uncle, William “Billy” LaFountain.

Left to cherish memories of Ashley are her parents, Timothy and Catherine LaFountain of Mooers; two brothers, Timothy LaFountain Jr. and his wife, Brittany LaFountain King of Mooers and Ralph Stevenson of Clarenceville, Quebec; her maternal grandmother, Marie St. Andrews of Mooers; her maternal grandfather, Russell Dupee Sr. of Champlain; one niece, Linzie LaFountain and one nephew, David LaFountain.  Ashley is further survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and her boyfriend Zachery Hamilton and his family of Jay. 

Calling hours will be Thursday, January 9, 2020 from 4:00-7:00 at the Ross Funeral Home in Mooers.  A Mass of Christian burial will be Friday, January 10, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Ann’s Church in Mooers Forks.
