ALTONA/WEST CHAZY - Audrey M. Smith, 86, formerly of Altona and West Chazy, passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at Uihlein Living Center in Lake Placid with her family by her side.

Born in Altona on February 3, 1930, Audrey was the daughter of Richard and Mabel (Buskey) Boulerice. She worked several short term jobs until she was employed at Georgia Pacific, where she retired after 34 and a half years of service.

She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Audrey and her brother Richard forged a very strong bond from his infancy to her passing. She thoroughly enjoyed socializing at the mall where she established many new friendships. Her favorite pass time was to dance and teach others the two step.

She was predeceased by her parents Richard and Mabel as well as her sister Dorothy.

She is survived by five daughters, Linda (Richard) Maxwell, Carol King, Darlene (James) Dowd, Cindy (Mike) Forsyth and Gail (Mark) DeCoste; a son Robert Smith; a brother, Richard (Brenda) Boulerice; 15 grandchildren, James, Tina, Lori, Holly, Krissy, Jamie, Jessica, Danielle, Ryan, Tyler, Caitlin, Dorothy, Sandra, Amanda and Mark; 19 great grandchildren, Jeffrey, Krissy, Jason, Autumn, Katie, Jakob, Ethan, Emma, Ryenn, Jordan, Kassidy, Aaron, Travis, Kyla, Tristan, Annabelle, Aiden, Rosalee and Kynlee; three great-great grandchildren, Arrietty, Tanner and Rosalee. One niece, Jacquelyn (Brent) Germain and great-nieces Meghan and Michelle.

Calling hours will be held from 10:00 - noon on Monday, August 29, 2016 at Ross Memorial Hall at 5059 Route 11 Ellenburg Depot. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. at St. Edmund's Church in Ellenburg.
