Charles Moore Obituary

Charles Amasa Moore, 53, of Mooers Forks, NY passed away
unexpectedly on Thursday, June 25, 2020.
He was born on August 12, 1966, the son of Amasa W.
Moore and Jane R. (Snide) Moore.
Charles operated Moore’s Sanitation Service, starting with
his father as a teenager while in school as well as working in the
family cedar oil business in the summers. Charles graduated from
Northern Adirondack Central School in 1984 then went full time
in the Sanitation business. Charles also established and operated
his own computer business, easily earning an A+ rating as a
technician despite having little formal training in computers.
Charlie was a talented mechanic, maintaining not only the
business trucks and equipment, but also the personal vehicles of
many friends and relatives. Charles was a generous, giving man
and always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.
Like his father, Charlie took pride in the family homestead
and enjoyed walking and working the land. He also inherited
many of his father’s qualities – he was outgoing, polite, full of fun
and enjoyed good conversation especially when accompanied by
a meal.
Family and close friends meant a lot to Charles and he
valued those relationships by spending quality time with them
while leaving behind memories that will be cherished for a
lifetime.
We also wish to honor Charlie for the many years of care and
service he dedicated to his mother.
Charles is predeceased by his parents, Amasa and Jane
Moore, sister Sallie Anne Moore and brother, George Frank
Moore.
Left to cherish memories of Charles are his sister, Rev.
Marion M. Moore-Colgan and her spouse Mark Colgan; and his
sister Susan J. Moore and her partner, Steve Wright. He is further
survived by a nephew, Daniel M. Colgan and spouse, Nickolaus S.
Colgan.
