Claire Marie Helene Manor, 83 of Mooers Forks passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at her home.
She was born September 18, 1937 in Pontoy, France, the daughter of Joseph and Jeanne (Moinier) Barbier. She was a paper delivery person for the Press Republican and held several other jobs in her life, including, working at Wyeth Ayerst, owning a restaurant and having a cedar oil business. She was very artistic. She loved making jewelry, doing crafts and painting. She also loved animals. Claire was a survivor of The Holocaust.
She is predeceased by her parents; her husband, Thomas who passed away in 2016; two brothers, Jean Pierre Barbiere and Jean Luis Barbiere; sisters, Marguerite Barbier, Rosemary and Rene Poynard and Marc Barbiere.
Left to cherish memories of Claire are three sons, Mose and Alane Manor of Mooers Forks, Thomas and Marilyn Manor of Mooers Forks, Medard Manor of Plattsburgh; two daughters, Brenda and Jerry Lones of Seagoville, Texas, April and Lester Seguin of Ellenburg Depot; 11 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She is further survived by her best friend, Sally Turner of Mooers.
Claire’s wishes were to not have a funeral service.
