Clarence Hall Obituary
Clarence "Jeff" Hall, 68, of Morrisonville, passed away on August 15 at Fletcher Allen in Burlington, VT. He was born in Plattsburgh, NY on March 20, 1948, to John and Elizabeth (Miller) Hall. He attended Dannemora High School prior to joining the United States Army in 1965, serving in Germany until 1968. He then worked for the State of New York at Wassaic State School and later as a Corrections Officer at Clinton Correctional in Dannemora, NY. He retired in 1998 after 25 years of service. After retiring, he obtained his CDL license and drove tractor trailer until he was in an accident in 2013. He spent winters in Florida with his sister and in Tucson, Arizona.
He is survived by his wife, Carol (Whalen) Hall, whom he married on October 23, 1971, his children, Kimberly Hall-Stone and her husband, Christopher Stone; Clarence J. Hall of Elmhurst, NY and Kerry (Hall) Forgette and her husband, Josh Forgette. He had three granddaughters, Courtney Stone, Haley Stone, and Hannah Forgette and one newly born grandson, Noah Forgette. He is survived by two siblings: Daisy Adams, of Jennings, FL and Robert Hall, of Orlando, FL. Two uncles Franklin Hall, of Pineville, KY and Donald Hall, of Cumberland Furnace, TN also survive him. He is also survived by two sisters-in-law, Rita Hall, of Massena, NY, and Connie Hall, of Plattsburgh, NY. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins survive as well as his wife, Carol's, siblings: Marjorie Gnass and Frank Town, Clement and Nancy Whalen, Jeanie and Brent Trombly, Betty Whalen, Ronald Whalen, Barbara Decosse and Russell Macey, and Kathy Whalen.
He was predeceased by his parents, his in-laws, Raymond and Evangeline Whalen, his sister, Joan Badger, his brothers Charles and John as well as brothers-in-law, James Decosse and Robert Whalen.
He was a member of VFW 1466 and volunteered with Honor Flight. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, driving his Mustang and traveling. He and Carol took many trips across the United States as well as a trip to Europe in 2005. According to his wishes, there will be no funeral services. A burial service will take place Saturday, August 20, at the Immaculate Heart Cemetery in Churubusco, NY at 4:00 p.m. Donations in Jeff's memory may be made to North Country Honor Flight.
