Crystal Cooney

Crystal Cooney, 59 of Mooers passed away Thursday, February 24, 2022 at the UVM Health Network at CVPH.

She was born February 10, 1963 in Plattsburgh, daughter of Loren and Catherine Ormsbee.  She was a bartender at several bars in the Champlain area.  She was a member of the American Legion Post 912 auxiliary.  

Crystal was predeceased by her father, Loren and one son, Mark Burgoyne.

Left to cherish memories of Crystal are her husband, Larry of Mooers; her mother, Catherine Ormsbee of Rouses Point; two sons, Gary Burgoyne, Jr. of Champlain, Loren Burgoyne of Champlain; two step daughters, Kaitlin Cooney of Rouses Point and Nicole Cooney-Tilden of Alaska; three brothers, Rodney Ormsbee of Morrisonville, Peter Ormsbee of Ellenburg Center, Danny Ormsbee of Mooers; two sisters, Judy Cartier of Rouses Point, Julie Monahan of Charleston, SC; several grandchildren , nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Crystal’s life will be Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the American Legion Post 912 in Rouses Point.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.
