Obituary

Daniel G. Timmons Sr. ,68 of Mooers Forks passed away Saturday, September 4, 2021 at UVM Health Network at CVPH, with his loving family by his side.
He was born November 7, 1952, the son of Francis and Georgette (Roberts) Timmons.  Daniel worked for most of his young adult life as a farmer and then started logging for the remainder of his career. “Big Dan” was a hard worker and he could fix anything. One of his favorite things to do was boiling cedar oil and having a nice cold Budweiser. He loved working on chainsaws, lawnmowers and other small engines. He enjoyed playing cards with his kids and grandkids, telling stories, watching westerns, riding motorcycles and fishing. He loved being the champion at horseshoes and getting double ringers. He was a huge Yankee fan and enjoyed watching games with his wife. 
He was pre-deceased by his parents and three sisters.
Left to cherish memories of “Big Dan” are his wife, Marlene “Maggie” Timmons of Mooers Forks; his children, Tracy Menard and her husband Jimmy of Chazy; Trena Sample and her husband Lee of Mooers; Daniel “DJ” Timmons Jr. and his fiancé Tamara Latour of Rouses Point; Samantha Timmons and her fiancé Jeremy Shirley of Champlain; his grandchildren, Jake Robare and his wife Jaevanna, Devyn Sample and his fiancé Monica-Lynn, Jordan Timmons, Jayda Timmons, Adisyn Sample, Marissa Latour, Jaman Bedard, Owen Timmons, James Latour, Henry Latour and Paige Menard. He is further survived by his great granddaughter Ellie Menard  known as “Ellie Bellie”  by her favorite papa Yeehoo, and he was also survived by his siblings and many nieces and nephews. 
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
