It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Danny Scriver, who left this world unexpectedly on Monday, January 12, 2026, at the age of 70. Danny was born on March 26, 1955, in Plattsburgh, NY, the son of Darwin and Leah Scriver. He spent much of his life in Champlain, NY, where he became a beloved member of the community.

Danny was known for his warmth, kindness, and infectious laugh that always made everyone smile. A dedicated waiter in the local restaurant scene, he created countless memorable experiences for his patrons and friends alike. He married the love of his life, Pauline Langlois, on Christmas Day in 1991, sharing many joyful moments together until her passing.

Left to cherish memories of Danny are his stepdaughter, Ann Marie Longtin and her companion, Peter Timmons, Sr.; his stepson, Gary Belrose; sister, Bonnie Gonyo; brother-in-law, Marvin LaBombard; and many cherished step-grandchildren, Mary Bechard, Roxanne Baker, Nicholas Timmons, Felicia Marie St. Clair, Patricia Marie, David, and Zachary Lapan. Danny will also be deeply missed by his nieces, Shelly Brooks and Crystal LaValley, nephews, Peter Gonyo, Mike, Randy, and Chad LaBombard; and godson, Matthew Baker. He leaves behind several close friends and relatives all of whom he loved very much.

Danny had an undeniable zest for life, often seen playing cards and enjoying bingo games with family and friends. His laughter and jovial spirit brought joy to everyone around him and will be remembered fondly.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at St. Mary's Church in Champlain from 10:00 AM, followed by a Mass at 11:00 AM. All are welcome to join in celebrating his life and the impact he had on so many.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Darwin and Leah Scriver; his wife, Pauline Scriver; a stepdaughter, Tina Marie Lapan; a stepson, David Longtin; a sister, Valerie LaBombard; and a brother-in-law, Harry Gonyo.
