David W. Bernard, 60, of Rouses Point, passed away Monday, February 10, 2025, at his home.
David was born April 7, 1964, in Plattsburgh, to James and Pauline (Gebo) Bernard.
David joined the Army in 1984, he served until 2005 and retired from the 962nd Ordnance Company Reserve Unit in Plattsburgh. He was a member of the American Legion. He then dedicated 29 years of work at Alstom, formerly known as Bombardier. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and his dogs. David will be missed by all who have known him.
David is predeceased by his parents, James and Pauline Bernard.
He is survived by his wife, Annette Bernard; sons, Joshua Bernard and Bruce Bernard; a daughter, Jessica Bernard and her husband, J.J. LaFountain; brothers, Scott Bernard, Richard Bernard, Steven Bernard, Jeffrey Bernard, John Bernard and Bruce Bernard; grandchildren, Colvin "Kid One" LaFountain and Emmalyn "Kid Two" LaFountain.
Calling hours will take place from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at the Ross Funeral Home, 196 Elm Street, Champlain, NY 12919. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place Thursday, February 20, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Church in Rouses Point.
