It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Debra A. Cardin, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who left this world on July 31, 2026, at the age of 68. Born on December 22, 1957, in Plattsburgh, NY, Debbie spent her life nurturing those around her and sharing her passions with her family and friends.

Debbie's greatest joy was never found in things, but in the people she loved. She shared a beautiful life with the love of her life, her devoted husband, and together they built a family that became her greatest blessing. Her three daughters were her pride, and becoming "Grammi" was the role she treasured most. Her grandchildren were truly the light of her life and watching them grow into the amazing people they are brought her immeasurable happiness.

With a heart that was always caring for others, Debbie, dedicated herself to the students, staff, and families of Northeastern Clinton Central School for 30 years, where she had a remarkable gift of making everyone feel seen, valued, and loved. Whether she was spending winters in Florida with her husband, enjoying her weekly card games with her sisters, tending to her perfectly manicured lawn, or planting flowers each spring, she found joy in life's simple moments. She had a wonderful sense of humor, loved to laugh, and made those around her feel welcomed, cared for, and special.

Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Jeannette (Boulerice) Rowe; her brothers, James, Allen, Donald, and Paul Rowe; her brothers-in-law, Wayne Brooks and Donald Manor; and her nephew, Darcy Manor.

A loving spouse to Alan Cardin, Debbie is survived by her three daughters, Lyssa Cardin and Scott Post, Shawna and Matthew Arno, and Kaley and Nicholas Castellucci. She took great joy in being a grandmother to Maddie and Lexi Arno, Parker and Ellie Wright, Hudson Castellucci, and Brynlee Post, and her love for her grandchildren was boundless. Debbie is also survived by her brothers, Gary (Julie) Rowe, Randy (Heidi) Rowe, and Keith (Julie) Rowe; and her sisters, Sue Brooks, Jane Manor, Betty (Edward) Bushey Jr., Barbara (Dennis) Phillips, Karen (Terry) Delaney, Linda (Alton) Parker, Sandy (Francis) Duquette, and Donna (Brian) Kavanaugh; sister-in-law, Lori Rowe, and many nieces and nephews. Debbie leaves behind a warm circle of family and friends who will deeply miss her generous spirit and infectious laughter.

ALS may have taken her voice, but it never took her love, her faith, or the strength that defined her. Even through the hardest days, she continued to think first of those she loved and remained grateful for the life she had been given.

In honor of Debbie's life and spirit, the family welcomes everyone to a Funeral Mass which will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at 11:00 am at St. Mary's Church in Champlain, NY. Interment will follow for immediate family only. Please join the family at the North Country Golf Club for a Celebration of Life.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Mary's Church or Hospice of the North Country, reflecting Debbie's compassionate heart for both her community and the greater good.

The legacy she leaves behind is one of unconditional love, quiet strength, kindness, and family. Debbie will be forever missed for her smile, hugs, laughter, and the countless ways she made everyone in her life feel special. Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort knowing she is finally at peace, free from suffering, and watching over all those she loved with the same endless love she gave so freely here on earth.
