Dianne Marie Garvey, 81, passed away peacefully Monday, March 9, 2020, at her home. She was surrounded by her loved ones, and her dog Scooter was at her side.
She was born in Willsboro, N.Y., Jan. 23, 1939. She was the daughter of the late Earl and Viola (Marcotte) MacDougal. Dianne attended and graduated from Willsboro Central School. She then obtained a degree from Albany College of Business. After college she worked at CVPH as a transcriptionist for 30 plus years. When her children were young, she enjoyed attending all her sons sporting events and playing chauffeur for her sons and their friends to practices. She also enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews. In her later years, she retired and spent most of her time with her grandchildren and enjoyed attending their games and school events. She was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Elizabeth's Church in Elizabethtown, N.Y.
She will be missed and is survived by her children, Eric Garvey of Lewis, N.Y., Aaron Garvey (Dina) of Lewis, N.Y., and Timothy Garvey (Tracey) of Peru, N.Y., and her beloved grandchildren, Keegan, Dalton, Olivia and Charlie. She will be missed by her dear friend who she considered a daughter, Peg Cahill of Lewis, N.Y. She is also survived by her brothers, Ronald MacDougal (Pam), Wesley MacDougal (Wanda) and (aunt June MacDougal).
She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Patrick Garvey.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday, March 13, 2020, at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Church in Elizabethtown, N.Y.
