Dolores Nobile Obituary

Dolores Nobile, 85, passed away peacefully at Clinton County Nursing Home on Tuesday, July 29, 2025. She had been a resident of Plattsburgh, NY since 2020, having relocated from Boca Raton, Florida.

Dolores was born in Brooklyn, NY to Angelina and Arthur Ausili. Her father passed away when she was young, and she was subsequently raised by her mother and stepfather, Edward Bogdanowicz. Dolores graduated in 1977 from Kingsborough Community College with an Associate Degree in Applied Science in computing, one year before she became a grandmother at the age of 38, two achievements of which she was tremendously proud. She worked for a software company called ISO in the World Trade Center and Rockland County as a systems analyst, retiring in 2000. She loved real butter, bananas, corn muffins, and everything blue. She insisted that tomato sauce with meat was called “gravy,” and had an exceptional disdain for tomato puree.

Dolores is predeceased by her son, Joseph Nobile, as well as her first husband, Joseph Nobile, and her siblings Eugene Ausili, Christine Roveto, and Phyllis Brush. She is also predeceased by her second husband, Louis Pisculli. They spent the last years of his life volunteering together for the American Legion and other organizations that assisted and honored veterans in Florida, Pennsylvania, and Brooklyn, NY, as well as attending and volunteering for St. Jude Catholic Church in Boca Raton, FL.

Dolores is survived by her granddaughters, Christina (Jarrod) Cone, Jennifer (Daniel) Olsen, and Alyssa (Amanda) Quartuccio; as well as her daughter, Debra Quartuccio; son-in-law, James Quartuccio; sister, Helene Gazzillo; and brother-in-law, Pasquale Gazzillo. She had six great-grandchildren: Alex Cone, James Cone, Julia Olsen, Geri Cone, Joseph Olsen, and Dylan Cone. She had very many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Her cousin “Baby” Phyllis Tubiolo was always particularly special to her, as was her longtime friend Barbara Prince.

A Catholic Funeral Mass will be held in memory of Dolores at St. Mary’s Church, 86 Church Street, in Champlain, NY, on Monday, August 4 at 11 AM.
