Donald LaBombard Obituary

Donald Wayne LaBombard, 79 of Rouses Point died October 21, 2019.  He went to join the Lord and be with his loving son, Kevin and favorite canine, Sadie Mae.

He was a veteran of the U. S. Army.  He retired from Pfizer after 37 years, his favorite position being a chauffeur with countless trips to Montreal and Burlington.

He was always there when someone needed him.  He was especially helpful and loving to his wife.  His most enjoyable moments were spending time with his family and friends.  Donald will always be remembered for his wit and always having a way of making people laugh.  As an avid golfer he enjoyed many early mornings on the greens.  Always seen with a camera in his hand, he had countless hours of video footage of everyone that was around him, most especially his grandchildren.

Donald is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Barbara A. (Chevalier) LaBombard; sons, Steven (Cathy) LaBombard of Rouses Point, Matthew (Lesli) LaBombard of Phenix City, AL, Robbie LaBombard of Malone; daughters, Dona (Tony) Lamberton of Mooers Forks and Angela LaBombard of Plattsburgh; and an adopted son, by the grace of God, Randy Guay.  Donald is also survived by his siblings, William (Veronica) LaBombard of Champlain, Richard (Joyce) LaBombard of Lakeland, FL, Alan (Joanne Mallett) LaBombard of Monkey Island, OK, Marvin LaBombard of Rouses Point, MaryJean (Robert) Baker of Chazy, Helen Sample of Rouses Point; sisters in law, Connie Manning, Debbie (Daniel) LaBombard, Sandy LaBombard; brothers in law, Peter (Peggy) Chevalier, Ray Dominy, Leland Jubert and Darrel Hogle; grandchildren, Steven LaBombard Jr., Ashley Adam and Nicole Lamberton, Blake and Evan LaBombard, Bailey Leclerc, Jason and Leah Jubert, Jeremy and Krista Scott; great grandchildren, Peyton and Joey Scott and Alex Jubert as well as many wonderful nieces and nephews.

He is preceded by his son, Kevin, brothers, Harold, Clarence Jr., Daniel and Robert; one sister, Betty LaForest; Valerie (Marvin) LaBombard, sister in law, Shirley (Harold) LaBombard, sister in law, and the following brothers in law and sisters in law, Harold and Betty Scriver, Clifford and Jean Willett, Eva Jubert, Eleanor Dominy, Peggy Hogle, Rodney Chevalier, Ronald Sample, Roland Laforest and Jackie (Clarence Jr.) LaBombard.

Donald’s family would like to thank all of their relatives and friends for their condolences, kind words and prayers.  Calling hours will be Saturday, October 26, 2019 from 9:30-11:00 at St. Patrick’s Church in Rouses Point. A Mass of Christian Burial follow at St. Patrick’s Church at 11:00 a.m.  Interment will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery following the Mass.  Friends and family are invited to a reception in St. Patrick’s Church.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Seton Catholic School, Champlain Right to Life of Mission of Hope.
