Edna “Cookie” Rizzo, 64 of Ellenburg Center passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at her home.

She was born November 23, 1956 in New Hartford, New York, daughter of Charles and Edna (Jones) Dobson. She enjoyed collecting Winnie the Pooh, playing with her grandchildren, being around family, watching movies and The Big Bang Theory.

She was predeceased by one brother, Charles Dobson; and two sisters, Sally Mayers and Donna Ann Dobson.

Left to cherish memories of Edna are one daughter, Marie LaBombard and her husband Nathan of Ellenburg Center; two sons, Martin Rizzo and his companion, Kristen Paiz of North Carolina, Allen Rizzo and his wife Amanda of Plattsburgh; one sister, June Whitbeck and her husband David of Utica, NY and her grandchildren, Jordan, Xavier, Skyler and Nevaeh LaBombard of Ellenburg Center, Brandon, Olivia and Mason Rizzo of North Carolina and Utica, NY, Gerald, Sicily, Parker and Harley Rizzo of Plattsburgh, NY, and Kaitlyn and Ryan Callahan of Utica, NY. She is further survived by her sister in law, Tricia Dobson of Marcy, NY.

Friends may visit from 4:00-5:00 p.m. Thursday, December 17th at the Ross Funeral Home in Mooers. A funeral service will follow at 5:00p.m. at the Ross Funeral Home.

Donations in Edna’s memory may be made to the Ellenburg Center Fire Department.
