It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Elizabeth “Beth” Grace Aubrey, a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, who left this world on April 27, 2026, at the age of 50 peacefully in her sleep. Born in Plattsburgh, NY, Elizabeth spent her formative years shaping a life filled with love, laughter, and a passion for helping others.
Elizabeth dedicated over 20 years to her career as an engineer at WPTZ, and later became an Import Specialist with the U.S. Customs and Border Protection in Champlain, NY. Her commitment to homeland security exemplified her deep sense of duty and her desire to make a difference. She was known for her exceptional ability to fix anything and for her unwavering dedication to her profession.
Elizabeth is survived by her mother, Susan Mott; her brother, William Aubrey, sister-in-law, Sheila Aubrey; and her father’s fiancé, Sandra Barber. She cherished her nieces, Jennifer and Megan Aubrey; loving companion, Christie Drake; and held a special place in her heart for her two dogs, Jovi and Trixie. Elizabeth's friendships were equally important to her, and she treasured the lifelong bonds she shared with Heather and Matt.
Beyond her professional life, Elizabeth had a wide array of interests. She enjoyed crafting, finding delightful treasures while thrift shopping, and immersing herself in the pages of a good book. Her warmth and creativity touched the lives of everyone who knew her.
Calling Hours will be held in honor of Elizabeth at Ross Funeral Home in Champlain, NY, on May 4, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. We invite all who knew and loved her to gather together to celebrate her life, share stories, and provide support to one another during this difficult time. A burial will be held at a later date.
Elizabeth will be dearly missed but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she loved and those who were fortunate enough to know her. May she rest in peace, knowing she made a meaningful impact on the lives of others.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her father, William Aubrey; and her grandparents, Adrian and Elizabeth Aubrey and Tim and Joyce Mott.
