Eunice A. Cook

Eunice A. Cook, 94 passed away peacefully June 1, 2020.  

She was born September 18, 1925 in Lyon Mountain, NY. the daughter of George and Lillian (Iby) LaFlesh.  She graduated from Lyon Mountain High School.  She was married to the late Russell Cook October 26, 1946.  Together they had 66 loving years.  They enjoyed snowmobiling, motorcycle riding and camping with friends.  (Who could forget Ben, Margaret, Larry and Inez.)  

Eunice worked at LaBarre’s Store in Ellenburg, NY for 35 years.  She was the feisty redhead comedian of the family and enjoyed game nights and laughs.  Besides her entertainment, Eunice was very artistic as her family and friends can attest to the paintings and cross stitch pictures she gifted them.  She also was prolific in quilting, knitting and crocheting.  All of her creations were detailed and admired by many.  Eunice’s excellent baking skills always delighted  her guests, with Whoopie Pies and Hello Dolly Bars.

She was predeceased by her husband Russell, September 2013; one daughter, Sandy in May 2019 and six brothers and sisters.

Eunice is survived by her daughter, Linda (Earl) Robinson, four grandchildren, Troy Robinson, Wendy (Jeff) Robinson-Spence, Chrissie (Jerry) Noyes, Joseph (Becky) Kaczanowcke; six great grandchildren, Liam, Laurel, Caylee, Robert, Leah and Calvin.  She is also survived by her son in law, William Kaczanowcke. 

Interment will be in the Town of Ellenburg Mausoleum.
