Florence Cardin

Florence L. Cardin, 95 of Champlain passed away Thursday, December 7, 2023 at UVM Health Network at CVPH.  

She was born October 9, 1928 in Champlain, the daughter of Armand and Eva (Babbie) Favreau.  She was a longtime employee of the Grand Union.  She was a member of the Catholic Daughters, Champlain Fire Department Auxiliary and President of St. Mary’s Cemetery in Champlain.  Florence enjoyed crocheting, sewing, playing cards, search words, puzzles,family gatherings, traveling, BINGO, cooking and she loved her manhattans.

She was predeceased by her parents; her loving husband of 52 years, Armand Cardin; one brother and three sisters. 

Left to cherish memories of Florence are her children, Carol Picard(Stacy), Alan (Debbie) Cardin, Dale (Lisa) Cardin, Roy (Brenda) Cardin; 9 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren and one brother, Roger Favreau.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church in Champlain.  There will be an hour of visitation before the funeral at St. Mary’s Church.  Interment will be in the spring at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
