Georgianna Castine

CHAMPLAIN-Georgianna Castine, 82, of Champlain passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at Fletcher Allen Healthcare in Burlington, VT.

Georgianna was everything to those closest to her. She spent her life putting others needs before her own-working hard, even as a child. Georgianna's life was her family. She was a wife like no other. She raised four children who were her world. She was "Meme" to seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Georgianna's greatest days were spent in her flower gardens or sitting around the table, joking and sharing a meal with her family. There will forever be an empty space in our hearts.

Georgianna was predeceased by her beloved son Kevin Castine. Her parents; Archie and Evelyn Bulriss; her brothers, Lawrence and Clifford Bulriss; one sister, Thelma Garber; her brothers in law, Francis, Harold, Daniel, Stanley and Wendell Castine; and her sisters in law, Mary Bulriss, Betty Bulriss, Gloria Hart, Donna Clark, Lilian, Carol, Linda and Beatrice Castine.

Survivors include, her husband of 62 years, Donald Castine; three children, Kyle Castine and his wife Darcy, Karen Castine and Kirk Castine; her daughter in law, Penny Castine; seven grandchildren, Brandon Castine and his wife Katrina, Kaley Gauthier and her husband, Jeremy, Ashline Castine, Katie Allen, Jordan Castine, Dylan Castine and Dalton Castine; eight great-grandchildren, Cadence Castine, Nirvanah Welch, Kevin Castine, Ty Gauthier, Marley Gauthier, Aaden Welch, Grady Castine and Brennan Gauthier; one brother, Clarence Bulriss and his wife, Judy; one sister, Carolyn Rice; sisters in law, Joan Bulriss, Viola Castine, Theresa Castine, Carol Castine and Emily Castine; brothers in law, Gerald Castine and his wife Larraine, Kenneth Castine and his wife Kaping, William Castine and John Castine.

As per Georgianna's wishes, there will be no calling hours. A funeral service will be celebrated Friday, March 24, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Ross Funeral Home, located at 2586 State Route 11 in Mooers. The family would like family and friends to gather in celebration of Georgianna's life at the Knights of Columbus hall in Champlain following the entombment at Whispering Maples Mausoleum.

The Castine family would like to thank Fletcher Allen ICU team in Burlington, VT, in appreciation of the wonderful care received by Georgianna and for the support given to her family.
