Gloria Mae LeClair Trombly, 84, passed away at Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital on February 10, 2025 with her family by her side.

She was born on May 12,1940 to Rhoda and William LeClair of Champlain. Gloria graduated from St. Mary's School in Champlain and then earned a Nursing Degree from Champlain Valley School of Nursing in Plattsburgh.

She married Robert T. Trombly of Champlain on February 11, 1961. Together they raised three sons, Jay Robert Trombly of Plattsburgh, John Robert Trombly of Champlain, and Jeffrey Robert Trombly of Schoharie. She worked a s a nurse in the maternity ward at CVPH and then for Doctor Clark and at other medical practices in Chazy until she retired.

Gloria loved to cook for others, a passion which culminated with a cookbook she published with her son Jeffrey in 2010. She also loved to knit, play cards, and visit with friends. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and was always eager to see them.

Gloria is predeceased by her parents; her sisters, Mary-Ellen Garrand and Theresa Barlow; and her brother, James LeClair. Her brother, William LeClair still lives. She leaves behind her loving husband Robert and their three sons, as well as five grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by those who loved her.
