Gretchen E. LaDue Obituary
Gretchen LaDue, 80, passed away on March 18, 2026, with her loved ones by her side.
Gretchen is survived by her husband of 63 years, Orville LaDue, and her daughters, Heather Trombly, her husband, John Trombly, of Champlain; Kathy LaDue, and her fiancé, David Sanger, of Virginia.
Gretchen is preceded in death by her parents, Maynard Vassar and Ada Pearo, and her brothers, Daniel and Gregory.
Gretchen loved working in her flower gardens. She had the ability to spot four-leaf clovers everywhere and she baked the best pies. Together, they loved to vacation at Hampton Beach and walk the shoreline.
They enjoyed their five grandchildren, Brandon Trombly, Kayleigh Trombly-Krall, Caitlin LaDue, Nicholas Averill and Caroline Averill. They were also blessed with nine great-grandchildren.
Together, they worked side-by-side at their business, which they co-owned, Chazy Hardware.
They retired and made their camp at Woods Falls in Mooers, NY their permanent home.
There will be no services at this time.
Arrangements are in the care of the Ross Funeral Home in Mooers.
