Helen M. DeCoste

Helen M. DeCoste, 89 of Mooers Forks passed away June 29, 2022 at Meadowbrook Healthcare in Plattsburgh.  

She was born May 2, 1933 in Churubusco, the daughter of Armand and Dora (Tremblay) DeCosse.  She was a hard working farmer.  She liked going out to eat and she also enjoyed playing BINGO.  Helen was also known to make the best strawberry pie.  

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Roma who passed away in 2009; her siblings, Annette Trombley, Anita Trombley-McCann, Gerald DeCoste, Joanne Barcomb and Pauline Barcomb.

Left to cherish memories of Helen are her children, Marvin DeCoste and his wife Lynn of Mooers, Wayne DeCoste of Mooers Forks, Julie Trombley and her husband Randy of West Chazy; one sister, Shirley Barcomb of Mooers Forks; her grandchildren, Amy Provost and her husband, Cory, Heather LaValley and her husband, Bryant, Bradley DeCoste and his wife Jenna, Dylan DeCoste and his girlfriend Abbie, Ryan DeCoste and his girlfriend Ashton, Adrian Trombley, Krista Trombley and her boyfriend Clay.

Calling hours will be Friday, July 8th from 11:00-1:00 at the Ross Funeral Home in Mooers.  A funeral service will follow at 1:00 at the funeral home.  Entombment will follow in the Town of Ellenburg Mausoleum.  Donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of the Mooers Volunteer Fire Department.
