Henry Clarence Gooley, 89, of Champlain, passed away Monday, December 30, 2024, at his home with family by his side.
Henry was born January 4, 1935, to Rudolph and Angela (LaFountaine) Gooley in Plattsburgh.
Henry graduated from St. Mary’s School. He was a lifelong dairy farmer at his family farm, Rolling Acres, in Champlain. In his spare time, he loved to bowl and play softball. He was also an avid sports fan, rooting for the NY Rangers and the Boston Red Sox.
Henry is predeceased by his parents; his wife, the love of his life, Beverly, who he was married 65 years; brother, Gerald and Pauline Gooley; and sister, Theresa and Robert Letourneau.
He is survived by Bonnie and Rob Francis, David Gooley, Patrick Gooley, Angela Stunzi; son-in-law, Dennis Babbie; and his special grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Friday, January 3, 2025, at the Ross Funeral Home in Champlain. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s Church in Champlain. Interment will take place in the spring at St. Mary’s Cemetery on Prospect Street.
