Irene B. Krotz

Irene B. Krotz died Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at the Elderwood of Uihlein Lake Placid Nursing Home. She was born October 20, 1930, in Brooklyn, NY to Clinton W. and Irene E. (Glasspool) Snyder. She graduated from Jamaica High School and Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School.

She is survived by her daughters, Irene Southard and Karen Senecal; her grandchildren, Chase Southard, Emily Southard, Rebecca Leroux and Renee Brunk; and her great grandson, Jase Leo Leroux. Her husband, Charles, died May 25, 2020. Her daughter, Elizabeth Krotz, predeceased her.

She was employed by NYCO Minerals Inc. until her retirement. She was active for many years in the Friends of Long Pond, the Friends of the Paine Memorial Free Library and the Essex Theatre Company, Inc.

At her request there will be no calling hours. A memorial get-together will be held at the convenience of the family.
