Jeannette Rowe

Jeannette Boulerice Rowe, 96 of Rouses Point passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at her home.  She was the last surviving sibling of the Boulerice and Rowe families.

She was born July 14, 1926 in Mooers, the daughter of Rudolph and Leona (Miller) Boulerice.  She loved her religion, cooking, gardening, sewing, quilting and picking berries.  She always made fresh pies and homemade bread every week.  She also loved to dance, if she could have one more wish it would be to dance one more time.  Jeannette was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend.  She always said her greatest accomplishment was her family.  She was proud that her children were all hard working, good people.  

She was predeceased by her parents; her loving husband of 58 years, Donald Rowe; three children, James Rowe, Alan Rowe and Donald Rowe; one grandson, Darcy Manor; two sons in law, Wayne Brooks and Donald Manor and a dear friend, Joanne Favro.

Left to cherish memories of Jeannette are her children, Sue Brooks, Jane Manor, Betty (Eddie) Bushey, Gary (Julie) Rowe, Paul Rowe, Debbie (Alan) Cardin, Barbara (Dennis) Phillips, Karen (Terry) Delaney, Linda (Alton) Parker, Sandy (Francis) Duquette, Randy (Heidi) Rowe, Keith (Julie) Rowe and Donna (Brian) Kavanaugh; 36 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; two great grandchildren on the way; one daughter in law, Lori Rowe and two dear friends, Millie Willette and Clara Rabideau.  

Calling hours will be Thursday, June 8, 2023 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Ross Funeral Home in Mooers.  A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday, June 9th at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Angels Church in Altona.  Interment will follow at St. Ann’s Cemetery in Mooers Forks.  

Jeannette’s  family would like to extend a special thank you to the aides who helped care for her over the past year, Dina, Dragoon, Roxanne McMillan, Jessica Creller and Lynne Hogle as well as the hospice nurses who cared for her over the last couple weeks.  Donations may be made to Hospice of the North Country or Rouses Point Fire Department and EMS.
