John E. Hawkins, 73, of Mooers, passed away Friday, January 17, 2025 in Champlain.

 

John was born December 25, 1951 to Edward and Gloria (Hall) Hawkins in Poole Dorset, England.

 

John worked as a production manager at Champlain Plastics in Rouses Point, he was devoted to his work. John was known to be selfless, he loved helping people in any way he could. He especially loved his family and enjoyed taking little trips with his wife, Margaret, of 50 years.

 

John was predeceased by his father, Edward Hawkins; and a daughter, Lisa Hawkins.

 

John is survived by his wife, Margaret Hawkins of Mooers; mother, Gloria of Canada; son, Jason Hawkins and Sofia of Ontario, Canada; a daughter, Tara Hawkins of Champlain; brothers, Gary Hawkins and his wife Carole and Shaun Hawkins; sisters, Marilyn and her husband Ron Neveu and Annette Hawkins and her partner Donnie; grandchildren, Caleb, Justin and Charlotte; as well as several nieces and nephews.

 

Calling hours will be Saturday, January 25, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Ross Funeral Home in Mooers. A celebration of life will take place Sunday, January 26, 2025 at the Royal Canadian Legion, 1622 Rue Roberval, St-Bruno, QC J3V 3P9, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
