John J. Guerin, 58, of Altona, passed away unexpectedly on November 17, 2024.
John was born in Plattsburgh July 9, 1966 to William and Lenore (Rabideau) Guerin.
John was a man of remarkable talent and generosity. As a skilled auto body technician, he could fix anything and was always eager to learn. His garage was a hub of activity, where he worked tirelessly on various projects for his friends, family and community.
But John’s garage was more than just a workspace - it was a gathering place where friends would drop by to share stories and laughter. John’s kindness, humor, and dedication to helping others inspired countless people.
As a devoted family man, John built a loving home and raised his children with the same values of hard work, compassion, and kindness that defined his own life. He also loved to travel, his favorite vacation spot being Atlantic City, New Jersey.
John’s passing leaves a void in the lives of all who knew him. His knowledge, friendship, and generous spirit will be deeply missed. However, his legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched and the memories we cherish of this extraordinary man.
He is predeceased by his sister-in-law, Tara Lynn Bushey.
John is survived by his loving wife, Mindy; their son, Kayden; their daughter, Jillian; his parents, William and Lenore of Altona; brothers, William Jr. and his wife Darlene of Altona, Jeff and his wife Shelby of Altona, Jason and his wife Jamie of Altona; In-Laws, Mike and Jeanne Bushey of Altona; sister-in-law, Ginger and her husband David Jarjoura of Woodstock, Georgia; Grandmother-in-law, Barbara Brunell of Altona; nieces, Katelin Guerin and Adeline Jarjoura, as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.
