Justin C. Lawyer

Justin C. Lawyer, 81 of Rouses Point passed away Thursday, January 3, 2019 surrounded by his loving family.

He was born January 5, 1937 in Richford, VT, the son of Foster and Mary Ester (Young) Lawyer.  He served in the U. S. Marine Corps.    He was a truck driver at Anchor Motor Freight and taught tractor trailer driving classes at CV-Tec, where he made several wonderful friends.  Justin also belonged to the Teamsters Union.  He was a Harley rider who loved music.  He had an extensive music collection.  He made friends everywhere he went and left an impact on everyone. He was an avid NASCAR fan.  He always had wonderful stories and was a great story teller.  One of his favorite past times was golfing at the course in Richford, VT.  Justin also loved cooking for everyone.  His family, especially his grandkids, were the light of his life.

Justin is predeceased by his parents.

Left to cherish memories of Justin are the love of his life, Judy Lawyer of Champlain; one son, Craig Lawyer of Essex, VT; two daughters, Emily Lawyer and her companion, Ryan Guay of Rouses Point, Kimberly Shook and her husband, Donald of California; one brother, Foster Steven Lawyer of California; three sisters, Priscilla, Michelle, and Suzanne; seven grandchildren, Elizabeth and Mason Guay, Natalie, Nicole, Donald, Justin and Joshua Shook; five great grandchildren, James, Westley, Aubrey, Tucker and Hank; one aunt, Yvonne Brown of Franklin, VT and his loving dog Jaxson.  A special thank you goes out to his friend, Pat McDonough, who did so much for Justin and also Lisa Pearson and Tracy Cabrera.

A celebration of Justin’s life will be Friday, January 11th from 4:00-7:00 at the Ross Funeral Home in Mooers.  A brief service with military honors will be at 4:30.  Donations in memory of Justin may be made to the Ronald McDonald House.
