Kathleen A. Gunsalus, 92, of Mooers, formerly of Ogdensburg and Brooksville, Florida, passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.

 

She was born March 20, 1932, to Harley and Mildred (Eseltine) Prentice in Malone.

 

Kathleen was a bookkeeper at Community Bank for many years after graduating high school and furthering her education in business school. She enjoyed singing but especially loved to read as well as play the piano.

 

She is predeceased by her husband, Robert Gunsalus, along with her parents, Harley and Mildred.

 

Kathleen is survived by her son, Thomas Gunsalus and Mary of Virginia Beach, VA; daughters, Diane (John) Gillette of Mooers and Stephanie Gunsalus of Mooers; and grandchildren, Colleen Clukey, Michael Gunsalus, Rachel Kern, Kerensa Morneau and Audrey McConnell.

 

A funeral service will take place Saturday, October 19, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. at the Mooers Wesleyan Church, 149 Maple Street, Mooers, NY 12958. A burial will be held at a later date at the Forest Cemetery in St. Regis Falls.
