Keitha M. Brunell

Keitha M. Brunell, 54 of Mooers Forks passed away peacefully Friday, August 24, 2018 at her home.

She was born March 23, 1964 in Plattsburgh, the daughter of Harvey and Janice (Jubert) Surprenant.  She graduated from NCCS and OLVA Secretarial School.  She loved her 30 year career at the SUNY Plattsburgh Library.  She enjoyed softball and NASCAR but her favorite hobby was spending time with her grandchildren.

Left to cherish memories of Keitha are, her husband of 33 years, Thomas Brunell, son of Terry and Barbara Brunell; one son, Terry “TJ” Brunell and his fiancée, Heather Cook; one daughter, Jenna Brunell and her fiancé, Bradley DeCoste; three grandchildren, little Terry, Jr., Jaelynn and Coltyn; her father, Harvey Surprenant and his wife, Bernadette; her sister, Kimberly Brunell and her husband James; her in laws, Jeanne and Mike Bushey, Mike and Jody Brunell, Karen Tourville, Daniel and Shawn Brunell, John Brunell, Eddie and Stacey Brunell.  She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, close friends and her beloved cats.

Keitha was predeceased by her mother, Janice Surprenant; her father in law, Terry Brunell and aunts, uncles, grandparents, nieces and nephews. 

Memorial donations may be made to the Fitzpatrick Cancer Center or St. Regis Cat Palace.

Keitha’s family wishes to thank Hospice of the North Country, for going above and beyond.

Calling hours will be Monday, August 27th from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Ross Funeral Home in Mooers.  A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday, August 28th at 10:30 a.m. at St. Ann’s Church in Mooers Forks.
