It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Kenneth P. Castine, a beloved husband, step-son, brother, and friend, who departed this life on December 24, 2025, at the age of 92. Born on March 2, 1933, in Champlain, NY, Kenneth dedicated his life to the land as a dairy farmer at Ridgeview Farm, where he found joy in nurturing both the animals and the community he cherished.

A proud member of the Farm Bureau, Kenneth embodied the spirit of hard work and dedication. He often shared stories, wisdom, and laughter with those around him. He had a passion for sports and loved spending his afternoons watching baseball and football, relishing the excitement of each game. In quieter moments, one could find him engrossed in a variety of magazines, always eager to learn something new and share it with family and friends.

Kenneth is survived by his loving wife, Kaping Castine; as well as his brother, Gerald Castine and sister-in-law Lorraine Castine; and sister-in-law, Viola Castine. He held dear to his heart many nieces and nephews, each of whom will carry fond memories of their time with him. 

Kenneth was predeceased by his first wife, Carol Castine, who undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms; his parents, William and Elizabeth Castine, his step-mother, Margaret Castine; brothers, Frank Castine, Donald Castine, Wendell Castine, Wayne Castine, Harold Castine, Daniel Castine, John Castine, William Castine, Bobby Castine and Stanley Castine; and sisters, Gloria Hart, Carol Castine, Donna Clark and Peggy Castine.

Calling hours will be held at Ross Funeral Home on January 5, 2026, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm followed by a Funeral Service at the same location at 1:00 pm, where family and friends will gather to honor Kenneth's life and legacy. Entombment will follow at the Town of Plattsburgh Community Mausoleum.

Kenneth's love for his family, friends, and his life’s work on the farm will forever be remembered. May he rest in peace, knowing he made a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure to know him.
