Lillian L. Cookman, 84 of Florida, formerly of Champlain, NY passed away April 10, 2022.
She was born December 29, 1937 in Plattsburgh, NY the daughter of Edgar and Suzie (LaPlante) McKenzie. She was very active with the Betmar Hospitality Group, shuffleboard and with the friends and family in the Betmar Committee. She enjoyed spending time with family.
Lillian was predeceased by her parents; her foster parents, Morton and Sylvia Emery; her husband, Ralph Leroy Cookman; one brother, Leonard R. Mckenzie; one sister, Inez Lafountain and two brothers in law, Norman Duprey and Jack Favreau.
Left to cherish memories of Lillian are one son, Duncan Cookman and his wife Ruth of Fort Mill, SC; one daughter, Bonnie L. Dupee and her husband Mel of Watertown, NY; two sisters, Anne Duprey of Chazy and Carol Favreau of Champlain; three grandchildren, Michelle and Mike Chiodi of Belleville, NY, Adam and Shauna Dupee of Chaumont, NY and Lauren Cookman of Fort Mill, SC as well as four great grandchildren, Keirsten and Kaylie Chiodi of Belleville, NY, and Gwena and Samuel Dupee of Chaumont, NY.
A funeral service will be held June 10th at 1:00 at the Ross Funeral Home in Mooers. Interment will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery in Rouses Point. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice.
