ROUSES POINT-Martha H. LaValley, 83 of Rouses Point passed away Sunday, October 30, 2016 at Meadowbrook Healthcare.
She was born April 26, 1933 in Plattsburgh, the daughter of Milan Mattot Jr. and Joyce Sears Mattot. She was a member of the Ladies of St. Ann, St. Mary's Altar Rosary Society and she belonged to the Home Bureau. Martha enjoyed embroidering and crocheting.
She was predeceased by her parents, Milan and Joyce Mattot; her husband Robert, who passed away in 2007 and two sons, Joseph LaValley who passed away in 1955 and Kevin LaValley who passed away in 1978.
Survivors include, two sons, Gerard LaValley of Champlain and Keith LaValley and his wife Mary of Massachusetts; three daughters, Joyce Chambers and her husband Joe of Saranac, Beth Kissel and her husband Woody of Champlain and Sharon Gooley and her husband Art of Mooers; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a brother in law and sister in law, Roger and Yvonne LaValley; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, November 1, 2016 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Ross Funeral Home in Mooers. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Church in Champlain. Donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation or the Wounded Warrior Project.
