Merritt R. Underwood

Merrit”Sonny” R. Underwood, 82 of Mooers Forks passed away February 13, 2020 at home. He was born April 23, 1937 in Plattsburgh, N.Y, the son of Howard and Dorothy Underwood. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1954 to 1956 as Air Force  Police He also worked at G & G Tire, Inc for 40 years. in Plattsburgh. Sonny was owner of North Bush Kennels. He loved his beagles.

Merritt is predeceased by his parents and his beloved wife Patricia.

Left to cherish memories of Merritt are his sons Thomas Underwood and his wife Jina of Plano, Texas; Michael R. Underwood and his companion Tracey Richards of Clarendon, N.Y.One brother Ronald Underwood,Mooers Forks,N.Y. And one sister Annis Townsend ofPhoenix ,Arizona. Merritt was blessed with three granddaughters and 3 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
