Peter R. Webb

Peter Webb, 82 of Mooers passed away July 3, 2020 at Brooksville Healthcare in Brooksville. FL.

He was born in Plattsburgh, March 26, 1938, the son of Arthur and Alice (Robinson) Webb of Champlain.  He lived in Champlain and Mooers until 1948 when the family moved to Indiana.  He lived there until 1958, when they returned to Mooers.  Pete graduated from Rising Sun High School in 1955 and from Hanover College in 1959; later he did graduate work at SUNY Albany

He was employed as an FDIC bank examiner, a high school English teacher and finally with the U. S. Customs Service, from which he retired in 1995.

He was a member of the Mooers United Methodist Church and the Unique Vintage Car Club and a former trustee of the Mooers Free Library.  

He was predeceased by his parents.  His closest surviving relatives are his seven first cousins.

There will be no calling hours.  A graveside service will be held at the family plot in Glenwood Cemetery in Champlain at a date and time to be announced.  

Memorial contributions may be made to the Mooers United Methodist Church, 12 East St.. Mooers, NY 12958; Mooers Food Pantry, P. O. Box 221, Mooers; Mooers Free Library, P. O. Box 268, Mooers; or the Mooers Volunteer Fire Department, 2508 Route 11, Mooers, NY.
