Reginald L. Garrand “Reggie”, 67, of Rouses Point, NY died peacefully in his sleep during the early morning hours of January 21, 2024, as a result of complications of muscular dystrophy.  He was born on February 14th, 1956, to Leo and Theresa Garrand formerly of Mooers Forks, NY.  He is survived by his mother, Theresa Garrand and his sister Linda (and Clarence) McDonald of Sciota, NY, as well as several nieces, nephews and friends.  Reggie is pre-deceased by his father, Leo O. Garrand, his siblings Leo Garrand, Jr., Lawrence Garrand, and Marie Garrand as well as several nephews.

Reggie was a kind, loving and gentle soul who was a carpenter by trade and loved to work with his hands and make things, until he no longer could.  Reggie loved watching baseball andfootball and hanging out with his friends. He was a lifelong Yankee and Viking’s fan and cheered for his favorite teams year after year.  Special mention to his long-time friend and caretaker in recent years, Neil Cooke, who took time to help Reggie when his disease made things more difficult for him to do on his own. His family and friends will miss him dearly.

Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.  

Donations in his memory may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Arrangements have been entrusted into the care of the Ross Funeral Home located on Route 11 in Mooers, NY.
