It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Richard Beauregard who left this earth on July 12th surrounded by his loving family. His long, courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease is finally over.    

 

He was born in 1942 to Calixte and Dorothy Beauregard (Dailey). 

 

He is predeceased by his brother Robert Beauregard of Worcester VT.    

 

He is survived by his brother Carl  Beauregard (Audrey) Sister in law Betty Beauregard; sister, Dee Healey; mother-in-law and beloved friend, Carolyn Powers; loving wife of 45 years, Raeanne (Powers) Beauregard; son and daughter in law, Dustin and Kassandra Beauregard and their children Jack, Luke, Emmy, Belle and Beckett; son and daughter in law, Jim and Jenna Beauregard and their children Max and Pepper. From his first marriage, he is survived by his children Richard, Brian, Brant, Eric, Carrie and Jared.   

 

Richard enlisted into the US navy at age 17 and served honorably from 1959 to 1963.  After two Mediterranean cruises aboard the attack cruiser USS Forestall, he volunteered to serve on Mcmurdough Sound scientific outpost on the South Pole in the Navy’s Air Development Squadron (VX6). Richard was proud of his service and thankful for the Veterans care he received. After his service, he began a 15 year career in auto sales in Virginia Beach and eventually at Houle Auto Sales in Barre Vermont. This is when he met the love of his life Raeanne.   He later took up a job as a specialized assembler at Bombardier Transportation where eventually rose to  Production Manager until his retirement in 2003 after a 20 year career with the Company.   

 

In his earlier years, Richard was front man  in popular central Vermont bands “The Beach Combers” and “A Touch of Class.” 

 

In his retirement years, he enjoyed camping with family, riding his Softail Springer Harley Davidson and working at North Country Golf Club with his son Dustin.  Richard was an avid golfer and enjoyed teaching his kids the game he loved.   He shared his love of Celtics Basketball, Washington Football and Redsox Baseball with his sons and grandkids until the end.   

 

Richard will forever be known for his dedication and sacrifice for family, and his unwavering humor. His deep love for his many relatives and closest friends was with him until his last days.   

 

Richard was and his family will forever be grateful for the skilled care he received at CVPH medical center in his final days.  

 

A private celebration of life will take place among Richard’s family and closest friends.
