Rodney J. Pickering

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rodney J. Pickering, who left us peacefully on March 6, 2026, in Champlain, NY, at the age of 70. Rodney was born on August 25, 1955, in Plattsburgh, NY, and his gentle spirit will be deeply missed by his loving family and friends.

Rodney's life was marked by a resilient spirit, even as he faced the challenges associated with his disability. He faced each day with courage and determination, inspiring those around him with his unwavering positivity and warm heart.

He is survived by his devoted brothers: David (Mickey) Pickering, Gary (Cynthia) Pickering, along with Tim (Kathy) Pickering. The bonds of family were of utmost importance to Rodney, and he cherished the love and support they shared throughout his life.

A celebration of Rodney's life will be held at a later date, providing family and friends an opportunity to come together in honor of the remarkable person he was. Details regarding the services will be shared in due course.
