Roy J. Howard of Rouses Point passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, with his wife, Lynn, by his side. He was born on June 17, 1954, in North Creek, NY, the son of Joseph and Angela (Dunkley) Howard.
Roy dedicated 33 years of his life to teaching at Northeastern Clinton Central School, where he was loved and respected by both his students and colleagues. Known for his ability to fix anything, Roy was happiest when tinkering in his garage, working on his truck or motorcycles. He loved skiing—especially with his grandchildren at Gore Mountain, a special place in his heart. Roy’s joy in life came from helping others, and the list of those he supported and inspired is long.
Roy is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Lynn; two daughters, Lisa (Tom) Russell of Plattsburgh and Jamie Stafford of Saratoga Springs; three brothers and their wives, Peter and Karen Howard of New Jersey, Sam and Georgia Howard of New Hampshire, and Joe and Amber Howard of Massachusetts; as well as his four cherished grandchildren, Erik and Olivia Willis, and Sydney and Sawyer Stafford.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, November 3rd, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Ross Funeral Home, 196 Elm Street, Champlain, NY.
