Sharron A. Lapier, 72, of Altona, passed away on Friday, August 22, 2025.

 

Sharron was born in Plattsburgh on July 29, 1953, the daughter of Ervin and Patricia (McDonald) Dupee.

 

Sharron enjoyed the time she spent with family and friends. In her free time, she loved to sew, play cards, go for rides on the side by side and camping.

 

She was predeceased by her husband, Robert LaPier; her parents, Ervin and Patricia Dupee; and a sister, Nicole Dupee.

 

Sharron is survived by her long time partner, Darrell W. Coates; a son, Michael LaPier and his wife, Mindy, of Peru; her daughter, Necole Ashline of Mooers; brothers, Daniel and Judy Dupee of Mooers, Wayne and Annette Dupee of Mooers Forks and Melvin and Bonnie Dupee of Watertown; a sister, Brenda Cooke of Mooers; grandchildren, Kayla, Owen, Tori, Alyssa, Xander, Hailey and Mycah; as well as a son-in-law, Chad Ashline.

 

Calling Hours will be held Monday, August 25, 2025 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Ross Funeral Home in Mooers. A Family Gathering will be held following the calling hours on Monday at the Clubhouse at Stonewall Acres. A burial will be held Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at 9 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in West Chazy.
